What is the partnership between onX and Toyota?

We are offering eligible Toyota owners six months of complimentary access across the highest tier of all four onX Apps, plus TroutRoutes, which can be used seamlessly in-vehicle via Apple CarPlay (except Backcountry) or Android Auto (except Backcountry and TroutRoutes). By being able to display onX’s navigation maps on the in-vehicle screen, exploring will be easy. And, when you know you won’t have coverage, you can download maps ahead of time to explore with confidence.

What is the offer?

Now through 2028, eligible Toyota owners can enjoy six months of complimentary  onX Elite. This Toyota promotional offer provides access to all four Apps: onX Hunt, Offroad, Backcountry, TroutRoutes Pro, and (current top subscription offering) Fish Midwest, a $375 value for all five Apps.  

Who is eligible?

Available to U.S. Toyota customers with 2026 model year or newer Tundra, Tacoma, 4Runner, Sequoia, Land Cruiser, or Lexus LX and GX vehicles. Customers that have an existing onX Elite membership or have had one in the 12 months prior to activation are not eligible for complimentary offer on the same onX App.

How do I redeem the offer?

What happens after the 6 month complimentary period?

For a seamless customer experience, the onX membership will be automatically renewed. Credit card activation is required, and there is no charge if a customer chooses to cancel their membership before the renewal date.  See onX Terms of Use for more information on memberships.

What if I already have an onX membership?

Customers that have an existing onX Elite membership or have had one in the past 12 months are not eligible for the six-month free trial on the same onX App. Customers with an existing onX Premium membership are eligible for the six-month free trial.

Is this offer available outside the U.S.?

Currently, the offer is only available to eligible Toyota owners in the United States, excluding U.S. territories.

How do I sign up for my 6 months free as a Toyota owner?

Activating your membership is simple:

  1. Visit the Promo Page: Go to onxmaps.com/toyota
  2. Verify Your VIN: Enter your eligible Toyota VIN number.
  3. Select & Activate: Choose your the onX App you want to use first.
I’m at the website but it’s asking for my credit card. Is it still free?

Yes! The first six months is complimentary. A credit card is required by onX to activate the trial offer, but you will not be charged today. You can manage your auto-renewal settings to cancel the recurring plan in your onX profile at any time. See onX Terms of Use for more information on memberships.

What happens to my data (Waypoints, Tracks, Offline Maps) after the 6 months is over?

All your data is saved to your onX account. If you choose not to renew, your account will revert to a “Basic” (free) version, but your saved Waypoints and Tracks will remain there for when you decide to activate a paid plan.

Does this work with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto?

Yes, with two exceptions:TroutRoutes is only available for Apple Carplay and onX Backcountry does not have in-dash functionality. For all other onX Apps, once you’ve activated your membership and downloaded the App, simply connect your phone to your vehicle.
