onX Offroad to Support A Soldier’s Child Foundation this Memorial Day

This Memorial Day, an onX Offroad veteran asked the company to support an organization close to his heart, A Soldier’s Child Foundation (ASC). ASC supports the children and families of our fallen veterans, and onX is proud to pledge 10% of its membership sales and 100% of the proceeds from a limited edition Memorial Day hat to the organization, in recognition of those who fought for our country and the freedom to explore its lands and trails.

onX Offroad is a pioneer in off-pavement adventure navigation. The app is built for off-roaders by off-roaders, and immerses users into a world of possibilities–including 615,000+ miles of trails and 500,000 recreation points. Various onX team members have served our country, including Jake Rosaia, onX Offroad Partner and Community Specialist and Air Force veteran. Like many companies, onX Offroad historically offered a sale during Memorial Day, but Rosaia envisioned making this year more impactful.

“For many, Memorial Day is about getting outdoors and hitting the trails,” said Rosaia. “But the long weekend is more than just a day off of work. We wanted to remember and honor those who fought to keep this beautiful country and off-roading land free for us to enjoy. And one of the best ways we can honor their memory is by helping take care of their children and families, through ASC.”

ASC supports the children of military personnel who lost their lives defending the United States. The organization celebrates birthdays, provides mentorship, offers scholarships, and hosts outdoor camps that encourage children to develop a lifelong passion for the outdoors. Currently, ASC is positively impacting the lives of over 4,000 children who are enrolled in the organization’s programs.

“ASC was founded because I wanted to do more for a fallen Marine’s family,” explained Daryl J. W. Mackin, ASC’s founder. “There were holes in our government’s programs for fallen veterans who didn’t qualify to receive the support they needed. For their families, every day is Memorial Day–there’s no escaping those realities. I’m thankful that onX Offroad is reminding our culture to support those who deserve it most.”

Visit onX Offroad’s blog to read an interview with Mackin and learn more about how ASC helps provide for children and the families of our fallen veterans.

Through June 1, follow this link to subscribe to onX and donate 10% of the membership to ASC. In addition to the donation, memberships will also be discounted by 30% through June 1, 2022.

Lastly, the limited edition onX Offroad Memorial Day is on sale in the onX Offroad Shop. Underneath the camo cap’s brim is a printed reminder of the appropriate times to respectfully remove one’s hat. One hundred percent of the hat’s sale proceeds will be donated to ASC.
