Description
Starting from a small trailhead off Plains Road, this route explores a mix of wide forest paths and narrow connectors through the Sibleyville Nature Reserve. Hikers can follow the Upper Loop in either direction to make a broad circuit through hardwood forest, with short spur trails linking to the Lower Trail for added variation or a shorter route. At each junction, clear signage helps with navigation. Most of the route is gently graded and shaded, making it a pleasant walk even on warmer days. Though the terrain is easy and accessible for most hikers, boardwalks can be slick after rain, and trails may become muddy in early spring. The area is open year-round and offers excellent birdwatching, especially during migration seasons. While there are no major viewpoints, the steady quiet of the forest and chances to spot deer make this a rewarding destination for a mellow day outdoors.
