Trail Overview
Forest Road 2336BA/AAA is an alternative route for 2336AA and 2956A. Adding some extra distance, as well as mild difficulty in comparison to the section of trail that is bypassed. This trail begins at its intersection with 2336B, and navigates to its intersection with 2336AA. The trail has several moderate elevation changes, as well as a few mild off-camber corners. The surface is mostly loose sand and small rocks on some of the hill sides. This trail navigates through a section of the national forest, which is known for its large rolling terrain. This area also has a lot of tree damage as well as small undergrowth due to wind storms, which have affected this area in the past. This trail/ trail system is also popular with dual-sport motorcycles, so be sure to remain aware of them. The cell service on this trail is better than others due to the elevation, as well as the lack of dense mature trees. However, service can still be spotty at times.
Difficulty
This trail can be easily navigated by any level of rider. The terrain is stable but can be moderately challenging to those with less experience. The trail is only wide enough for one vehicle, but there are sections of the trail that open up to allow for vehicles to pass. After a recent heavy rain, some of the hills on the trail can become rutted, exposing rocks beneath the trail surface. In addition, strong winds can push debris onto the trail from the surrounding woods.
