Trail Overview
This is a small detour that navigates further south from the main Loop 2 trail. This is a tight dirt two-track trail. This trail has a large portion of its length that navigates through an old cut block from when this section of forest was harvested. Thanks to the elevation of this region, this can allow for some excellent views of the surrounding landscape since views are not obstructed by towering trees. Small saplings are begging to regrow and dominate this cut block. This leads to sight lines that are almost non-existent around any corners. The second half of the trail navigates into mature forest with similar features to other trails in this area. Several low spots can collect water and will turn to mud. Additionally, like all other trails in this area, there are many sharp blind corners, as well as debris that protrudes through the trail surface. Cell coverage in this area is very spotty; downloaded maps should be used to ensure trails are being followed.
Difficulty
The trail can easily be navigated by riders of all experience levels. Many low spots and bumps along the length of this trail collect water or turn to mud. Depths are typically less than 6 inches. The trail is narrow, so take care when riding to avoid coming up on something too quickly.
