Trail Overview
This is the only trail available for ATV and SxS traffic to access the Fireside Market and Gas Station. This trail navigates from Bug Lake Road to Fireside Market. The trail is well-maintained, as it has a firm gravel base. The trail is not wide enough for two SxS's to pass each other at a high rate of speed. Sight lines throughout the trail are decent. The undergrowth in the forest is limited, which helps to promote better sight lines, but this section of forest does have lots of mature trees, as well as very dense sections of trees which can obstruct sight lines. This trail has very little chance of developing water spots or mud holes due to the gravel base that is present. The scenery around this trail consists entirely of mature forests, which are primarily dominated by hardwoods, but a few softwood trees can be seen. Wildlife in this area is abundant, so be sure to be on the lookout for any animals on or around the trail. This trail is a groomed snowmobile trail in the winter months. Cell service in this area is good for the most part; however, service can be slow in peak summer months. Traveling with downloaded maps is always a safe bet.
Difficulty
This trail can be enjoyed by individuals of all experience levels. The trail is a dedicated ATV and SxS trail and is one of the mildest in the area. However, the trail does have a good amount of winding corners, which helps to increase the fun factor of the trail. Sight lines on the trail are okay to good. Due to the dense forest surrounding this trail, it is possible for downed trees or tree limbs to show up on the trail after a strong storm.
