Trail Overview

Plant Cave Trail is an easy, single-vehicle-width route traveling through dense vegetation on Washington DNR-managed land. Grass covers most of the trail surface, with plants and brush encroaching from both sides as you travel farther in. Overhanging branches reduce vertical clearance in several places, creating a tunnel-like section that feels like riding through a plant cave. Beneath the grass, the trail is lumpy and uneven, producing a consistently bumpy ride without presenting any significant technical obstacles. Vegetation and limited visibility are more notable than the terrain itself. Near the end of the mapped route, a small tree lies across the trail and appears to act as an unofficial marker near a property boundary. Do not continue onto private property without permission.
