Trail Overview

FS 9091025 is a very short, single-lane gravel spur that is slightly narrow and lightly overgrown but easy to drive throughout. A single 8-to-10-inch dip makes having a little clearance preferable. While the map suggests a second connecting spur farther on, it no longer exists; thus, the first short segment is all there is. The route ends at a flat viewpoint featuring dispersed camping space for two to three vehicles, offering good valley and forest views toward Mount Adams, and a clear view of Mount Hood in the distance. An especially nice view of Mount Adams also opens through the trees just before the end. Overall, it is a lovely, low-effort spot for a secluded car-camp with big scenery for how easy it is to reach.

Difficulty

The spur is short, easy gravel that is slightly narrow and overgrown, with no real obstacles aside from a single 8 to 10-inch dip in the road where a little ground clearance helps. It is manageable for most vehicles, with low-clearance cars simply taking the one dip slowly.
