Trail Overview

Forest Service Road 2334015 is a short, well-graded gravel spur that drops gently off to the left and overdelivers for its length. Almost immediately, a brief unmarked offshoot leads to a large flat dispersed campsite with a fire ring and a stunning, direct view of Mount Adams, with room for three vehicles. The mountain views keep coming: sweeping outlooks open on the left around 0.7 miles alongside another camp on the right, and 0.2 miles farther a second site enjoys its own direct Mount Adams view with space for four to five vehicles, plus overflow parking about 30 yards past the road's end. Strawberry plants, a recurring theme in this region, line the edge of every site. It is an easy, secluded, far-in-the-wilderness spot with remarkably close mountain views, and an easy one to recommend.
