Trail Overview

This trail runs through the Siuslaw National Forest. It is an easy gravel road with a very dense forest with lots of old-growth trees. There are multiple side trails to run for further exploration, including roads up to where old lookout towers used to be that have great views. There are some dispersed camping areas along the route as well. This trail is a nice change from driving the highway over to the Oregon Coast and it ends at the Sea Lion Caves, which is a fun stop.

The road is gravel and is very smooth with the exception of a few potholes.

Extremely easy trail, your grandmas minivan could probably make it through. Passed through right after heavy rain, there are maybe a handful of potholes to look out for, and a couple steep grades. The trail is mainly compacted gravel with a bit of paved single lane sections.

Beautiful drive with a few potholes along the way. Mostly gravel with a few paved areas. trail can be navigated with any vehicle you don't mind getting dusty.

Pretty easy trail though the forest, if you have a low clearance vehicle you will need to swerve around pot holes as some of them are out 8 inches deep. There are a few scenic spots but not too many, mainly driving through dense forested areas.
