Trail Overview
This gorgeous forest road is very well maintained, with a smooth gravel surface that makes for a beautiful drive through the surrounding forest. The route descends for a stretch, then climbs again and eventually passes through a logging area. Watch for rockfall along the road, especially where the route runs near steep slopes or exposed rock. The trail sees some traffic from hunters and other visitors, so stay alert for oncoming vehicles. The area also has plenty of grouse, which seems to be what the hunters come here for. Several side trails branch off from the main route, although many have closed gates or are overgrown. A few remain open and may provide additional routes to explore; however, still use caution when going down these roads. This trail is accessible only to Highway Legal Vehicles, so please do not take any other kind of vehicle on this road.
