This very well-maintained trail steadily climbs into the mountains and provides a beautiful drive through the forest. The route passes several areas that have been partially logged, but much of the surrounding forest remains intact. Near the end, the road becomes overgrown and eventually stops. Be especially cautious during the first mile, where several large, man-made speed bumps and deep dips in the road appear. Some are quite aggressive and could cause a low-clearance vehicle to bottom out or get stuck if you approach too quickly. One dispersed camping area is along the route, but the space is fairly small. ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes must always have a valid Oregon ATV Operating Permit sticker.
