Trail Overview

This trail features a steep hill climb when approached from the western end. Low range is strongly recommended due to the combination of loose sand, deep ruts, off-camber sections, and the sustained incline. One significant obstacle is an exposed drainage pipe with jagged metal edges that could easily damage or puncture tires, so careful line selection is required through this section. Additional hazards include erosion mounds, protruding branches, and trees growing close to the trail edge. When descending, use engine braking to help control speed and reduce brake temperatures, especially in heavier vehicles. Overall, this is a challenging section that requires careful driving and proper vehicle preparation. ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes must always have a valid Oregon ATV Operating Permit sticker.
