Trail Overview

This trail is a short but scenic user-maintained route that branches off Forest Road 676. Although relatively brief, it provides an easy and enjoyable drive through a beautiful forest before ending at the boundary of the Klamath Marsh National Wildlife Refuge. The road is in good condition and suitable for most high-clearance vehicles, making it an excellent side trip for anyone exploring the surrounding trail network. The peaceful setting and surrounding marshland make it a beautiful destination well worth the short drive. At the end of the trail, a gate prevents further access into the wildlife refuge, which is closed to public vehicle travel. While visitors cannot continue beyond the gate, the area makes an excellent location to stop, stretch your legs, or enjoy a picnic while taking in the views of the marsh. Dispersed camping is not permitted within or immediately adjacent to the refuge, so visitors should plan to camp elsewhere. This is a quiet and relaxing trail that offers easy access to one of the area’s most scenic natural viewpoints.
