This trail begins as a well-maintained forest road and, within the first mile, reaches a large campsite that appears to be very popular with hunters, ATV riders, and other recreational users. Beyond this point, the trail continues with a gentle climb into the surrounding hills before gradually narrowing. As the vegetation closes in, drivers should expect pinstriping from overhanging branches, low limbs, and encroaching undergrowth, particularly if traveling in a full-size vehicle or SUV. The trail appears to receive relatively little traffic beyond the initial section, giving it a quieter and more remote feel. There is only one obvious camping area, although there may be a few smaller pull-offs along the route. The road has been cleared of major obstacles, but several cut logs and tree trunks still protrude into the trail and should be avoided to prevent vehicle damage.
