Trail Overview

This unmaintained sandy trail winds through a forested area, starting out relatively open before gradually becoming more enclosed by thicker forest. There is some undergrowth along the route, with several trees trimmed back from the trail to keep the track passable. Rain has caused some erosion and has gutted sections of the trail, creating uneven areas and shallow ruts that add a little character to the route. The trail surface is generally sandy and is covered in a thick layer of pine needles in many sections, making for a surprisingly soft and comfortable ride. The combination of open forest, thicker wooded sections, and the changing trail surface makes this a pleasant backroad route, although drivers should stay alert for erosion and areas where rain has affected the trail.
