This scenic forest trail begins on a sandy surface before climbing steadily onto a rocky section where exposed stones and rain erosion require careful wheel placement. After reaching the plateau, the trail levels out before descending into a beautiful pine forest with a soft carpet of pine needles that creates a smooth and enjoyable drive. Evidence of relatively recent wildfire can be seen throughout the forest, with some trees showing fire damage while others remain untouched. A secondary trail branches from the main route before the descent, although it appears to receive little maintenance. Overall, this is a rewarding drive offering varied terrain, beautiful scenery, and a peaceful forest setting.
