This trail is a fun loop that climbs and descends Cave Mountain, with a convenient staging area located at the base of the route. The first section follows a maintained road with only minor ruts and erosion caused by seasonal rain runoff. After reaching the radio tower, the road becomes slightly rougher before opening to an outstanding viewpoint overlooking the surrounding hills and distant horizon. Beyond this point, a closed road branches to the left while the main route becomes progressively more challenging. Expect steep ascents and descents with off-camber sections, loose sand, exposed jagged rocks, water damage, and numerous ruts that can make traction difficult.
