This trail is an unmaintained road that initially passes alongside an active logging area before gradually becoming a logging road itself. Numerous piles of harvested timber line the route, reflecting ongoing forestry operations throughout the area. The road eventually reconnects with a maintained arterial route, making it a useful connector through the forest. Although the surface is primarily sandy, logging activity has resulted in a graded, relatively easy driving surface suitable for most capable vehicles. According to the current MVUM, the second half of the trail is designated for off-road vehicles and ATVs only. However, from a driving perspective, the road itself presents little technical difficulty because it has been widened and maintained for logging equipment. Please watch out for any logging vehicles or any other working vehicles in the area. ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes must always have a valid Oregon ATV Operating Permit sticker.
