Trail Overview
This trail follows a powerline corridor but offers a rougher, more rugged experience than nearby gravel routes. The surface is not gravel and becomes more challenging due to areas of dense undergrowth, uneven terrain, and a significant climb near the end of the trail. A capable 4x4 is recommended, as the final section includes a steep incline followed by a descent that requires careful vehicle control. Low range may be necessary to safely complete the last portion, especially when navigating the steeper sections. Despite the added difficulty, this is a beautiful trail with scenic views and makes for an excellent route to enjoy the surrounding landscape, especially around sunset. Drivers should also watch for the many rabbits throughout the area and maintain a slower pace to avoid unexpected encounters. Overall, this is a rewarding trail for those looking for a more adventurous powerline route. ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes must always have a valid Oregon ATV Operating Permit sticker.
