Trail Overview

This trail is an unmaintained, lightly traveled route that loops back to the main route and has become noticeably overgrown, giving it a more remote feel than many of the surrounding roads. Numerous fallen trees are present along the trail, and while some have been cut and cleared, others remain in place with bypasses created around them. Carrying a chainsaw is recommended in case additional trees block the route. The trail is sandy and dusty with scattered rocky sections, small bumps, and uneven terrain that encourage slower travel. Dense undergrowth crowds the road in many places, making a capable high-clearance 4x4 the ideal vehicle for this route. Although it receives little regular use, the trail remains a rewarding drive for those looking for a quieter, more adventurous forest experience. ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes must always have a valid Oregon ATV Operating Permit sticker. Seasonally open between 04/01-11/30

Difficulty

The main challenges are the downed trees, dense vegetation, and rougher terrain that make a high-clearance vehicle recommended.
