Trail Overview

This trail is a long, sandy, and dusty route that travels through beautiful forest while featuring numerous exposed rock beds and protruding rocks along the driving surface. Drivers should keep their speed under control, as many rocks can catch tires or the undercarriage if approached too quickly. The trail provides access to an extensive network of side spurs and connecting roads, offering enough exploration opportunities to keep off-road enthusiasts busy for days. Keep an eye out for the area’s abundant ground squirrels, which frequently dart across the road. The trail remains well maintained until reaching the Gebhardt area, where it transitions into a narrower, user-maintained single-lane road that requires a little more attention but remains enjoyable to drive. ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes must always have a valid Oregon ATV Operating Permit sticker.
