Trail Overview
This well-maintained forest road branches off the main 22 and climbs into the mountains through a beautiful, forested landscape. The route is scenic and offers ample opportunities for dispersed camping, including several good spots near the split to the left. There is a gate within the first couple of miles that must be opened and closed when passing through, so be sure to leave it as you found it. The trail also features two large ditches across the road, each approximately one meter deep, creating significant obstacles that require a high-clearance vehicle. A standard passenger vehicle would not be suitable for this route, particularly during the rainy season when the ditches and surrounding terrain could become much more difficult to navigate. Overall, this is a beautiful little mountain trail with a peaceful forest setting and plenty of opportunities to stop and camp. ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes must always have a valid Oregon ATV Operating Permit sticker.
