This trail winds through a beautiful forest but has several distinctly different sections. Starting from the southern end, the route is relatively narrow and heavily wooded, with pinstriping likely as branches and trees encroach on the single-lane road. Many trees have been cut back, although some were trimmed poorly and still jut into the driving area. Large potholes and bumps are also present along this section. Farther along, the road reaches a section that was rebuilt with loose rock after what appears to have been significant storm damage or washout. This rough section may require 4WD or a lifted vehicle, particularly where the road surface is uneven and rocky. Beyond it, the road becomes smoother and appears to have been graded in the past, passing through another beautiful forested area with a couple of open clearings. These clearings make good stopping points, and one appears to be a common turnaround location near a large fallen tree. Beyond the open section, the trail becomes increasingly dense and appears to receive very little use. The route eventually reaches a massive tree completely blocking the road, with no practical way around it. The obstruction is large enough that clearing it would require significant equipment, so the trail should be considered impassable beyond this point. Wildlife, including skunks, may also be encountered in the area.
