This beautiful forest road has a mix of maintained and rougher sections as it winds through the surrounding woodland. From the southern end, the road begins with areas that have been heavily damaged by rain, with deep erosion and a rough, gutted surface that calls for slower speeds and careful driving. Farther into the forest, conditions improve, and the road becomes more consistently maintained or user-maintained, making for a smoother and more enjoyable drive. The route continues through the forest before deteriorating again for a short stretch. It then improves as it reaches a large open clearing that appears to see plenty of recreational use, particularly from ATV and quad riders. The trail eventually reaches a point where there is no usable continuation and effectively ends. Near the eastern entrance by Long Prairie, drivers should be particularly alert for logging trucks, maintenance vehicles, and other work traffic that may be using the road. There are also sharp descents and limited visibility in places, so slow down around corners.
