Dennis Road

The mapped portion denotes a split in Dennis Road providing access to the Uwharrie Game Lands and the Uwharrie River public fishing area. These unique areas are lesser-known than other designated game lands and fishing spots within Uwharrie National Forest, featuring dedicated parking areas, short walking trails, and direct water access. It should be noted that portions of the trail do run along private property. The road is a county road; however, it is generally comparable to many of the forest service roads in the area. While the initial portion of Dennis Road proper is paved, the split at the Uwharrie National Forest boundary marks the beginning of the gravel portion, splitting to the left and right. The trail to the left provides access to the game lands, while the trail to the right provides access to the fishing area.
