Trail Overview
Brunswick Road serves as the entrance route into this section of the Boiling Spring Lakes Preserve trail network. After passing the initial entrance intersection, users will encounter several mud holes along the trail. These areas are generally dry and relatively easy to navigate under normal conditions, but they have the potential to become significantly more challenging following periods of wet weather. Farther along the route, users will encounter a substantial mud obstacle, although an available bypass allows drivers to avoid the crossing if conditions exceed their vehicle’s capabilities. Near the rear of the trail, close to a closed gate, users will find a long, swamp-like mud hole that may present the most significant obstacle on the route. Users should carefully evaluate water and mud depth before attempting this section and carry appropriate recovery equipment.
Difficulty
If dry, this trail is a 1 when users bypass the mudhole; however, if users want an adventure, several mudholes are available.
