Trail Overview

FS 100 is a narrow single‑track section of the Sheltowee Trace trail offering technical dirt‑bike riding through Daniel Boone National Forest. The trail can be accessed from FS 345 near Turkey Foot Campground or from Elisha Branch Road. Expect mixed terrain with roots, rocks, and short climbs that demand controlled throttle and precise line choice. The tread becomes slick after rain, and several stretches have limited sightlines. The trail ranges from rocky to flowy and is manageable for riders with limited dirt‑bike experience under normal conditions. However, downed trees greatly increase both the difficulty and duration of the route. At the time of mapping, multiple trees blocked the trail, requiring dismounts, slow maneuvering, or bushwhacking bypasses. These obstacles significantly disrupt flow and pose added challenges, especially for larger bikes. FS 100 connects to nearby forest roads and old dirt routes, making it a useful link for longer moto loops within Daniel Boone National Forest. It is also part of the KAT (Kentucky Adventure Trail).
