Trail Overview
This trail features a steep hill climb that demands careful control, particularly as you approach a pronounced dip near the top. This low spot often holds standing water, turning into a mud-filled pit that remains wet most of the time. Momentum and traction are key through this section. On the lower portion of the trail, drivers must also contend with two deep ruts that span the width of the path, making it unavoidable to drop into them in order to exit. These ruts can challenge ground clearance and require precise tire placement. While not the longest trail, its combination of incline, mud, and ruts makes it one that requires focus and a capable 4x4.
Difficulty
This trail is challenging due to its steep climb, persistent mud-filled dip, and deep exit ruts. Traction, ground clearance, and careful line choice are essential. Best suited for capable 4x4s and drivers with experience in muddy, uneven terrain.
History
This park was formerly known as Sandy Bottoms, and longtime visitors may still refer to it by that name. The access road and staging area have evolved over time, but it remains a well-known local spot for off-road events and community rides.
