Trail Overview

This trail is an offshoot from Apex Road. If you want something slightly more technically challenging than Apex, this is a fun alternative to explore. The trail is fairly tight. 4WD is required in a couple of steep sections with loose rock. Some of the trail runs through private property, but there are also a few dispersed campsites along the way.

Took the trail South to North - overall passable with a few added pinstripes from some tight sections. Some brush along the creek had fallen into the trail that had to be moved. Overall not too bad

Entered from Apex Road north to south. The trail was dry and very rocky in places. While not technical, you will need high clearance and room to air down some for a better ride.

The trail entering from the east is passable until about 1/2 mile from Apex Rd, where deep snow drifts are not passable.

The trail starts out with hard packed snow that’s about 2 1/2 feet deep after approximately a quarter mile you get to some dry ground mixed with deep snow drifts for approximately a mile then you get dry Road for about a mile and once you pass the official entrance to the trail a quarter mile down the road the snow drifts are several feet high impossible no tracks

Far rockier than expected but made it through. Definitely need a good amount of ground clearance and be good at picking lines. Trail is very narrow and tree-lined so your paint may get scratched if you care about that. Definitely recommend airing down to help with the bumpiness of the rocks and eroded sections.

There’s a gate at the south end, but it’s not locked. This trail is lot rockier and more narrow than I was expecting, but we made it just fine.

I drove this from the junction down and found it tricky and spots with rotted out rocks and parts of the creek overtaking the road, very narrow, very rocky

Southern end has been bulldozed to the first mining claim. Beyond is rough and rocky. Not really anywhere to disperse camp along this trail.

Nice short offshoot from Apex Road. Took about 45 min., nothing too crazy but would be a good start for a beginner. Tight in some places but correct maneuvering will avoid pin stripes.
