Trail Overview
This trail begins off FS 635 and follows a short, one-mile out-and-back route with a gradual climb through several open meadows. The route is relatively straightforward, although ruts and small water crossings may be present in wet conditions. The area is known for its deer and elk populations, so keep an eye out for wildlife along the way. Depending on the soil conditions, 4WD may not be necessary in dry weather, but wet conditions could make it essential. This section of the Forest Service road ends where Spring Road begins. Continuing beyond this point requires a slightly higher skill level, and the road ahead provides access to four different springs.
Difficulty
This is a fairly easy trail in dry conditions. However, when wet, the soil in this area becomes extremely slippery, making the route more challenging to navigate. Whenever possible, avoid driving this trail in wet conditions to reduce the risk of losing traction or damaging the trail surface.
