Trail Overview
This Route is a dirt and gravel road that provides access to Carely Mountain. The road is fairly narrow and becoming encroached by pine regrowth, but is still passable in a full-size vehicle. The public access portion of the road terminates at a large turnaround and a gate. A small creek flows near this turn around and it would make a great camping location. A road continues beyond the turnaround but is gated and for access to food plots for maintenance. These food plots can be accessed on foot, and the road to them is not good anyway. While approaching the turnaround/camp location, a large black bear was noted eating from the wild black cherry trees lining the access road.
Difficulty
The road is mainly good, but does have some areas beginning to wash out, and are 6 inches to 10 inches deep. High clearance is recommended but not necessarily required. Four-wheel drive is also recommended.
