Trail Overview

Beginning off Tank Wash, this scenic wash trail starts as a narrow route along the wash wall before quickly opening into the broad expanse of Calcite Wash to the north. An experienced rider is recommended for the last section of this trail. The trail is a wide 2-track with a surface of loose gravel and scattered rocks, surrounded by towering saguaros, Palo Verde trees, and classic Sonoran Desert scenery. As the trail continues, you'll have plenty of room to choose your own line while navigating around natural debris and larger rocks. Lots of loose rocky sections to work through. Eventually, the wash narrows again and reaches a Y intersection—stay to the right to remain on the mapped route. From there, the trail transitions into a narrower gravel wash before ending, although the wash itself continues beyond the mapped trail. Multiple line choices and opportunities to explore the surrounding desert. Because it follows an active wash, conditions can change after storms. Watch for debris, loose rock, and the potential for flash flooding during wet weather. There is no cell service along this trail.
