Trail Overview

This out-and-back trail connects to Desert Crossroads and begins among black rock, desert creosote, cholla, ocotillos, and a handful of saguaros. The east-west two-track route crosses several deep washes and transitions into larger gravel with loose rocks, including pieces up to approximately 6 inches near the far east end. One section drops into a wash and climbs back out onto uneven terrain with a V-notch that requires careful line choice. The trail winds between sections of the mountains and features a unique point of interest: a very large boulder leaning against a single saguaro on the north side of the trail.
