Trail Overview

Trail Ss1025 begins off Highway 70 near San Jose, Arizona, climbing a short shelf road before transitioning into an easy gravel route across the desert toward Hakel Road. The trail isn’t technical, but the shelf section right off the highway is narrow — watch carefully for oncoming traffic since there’s no room to pass. Creosote lines the route, with cholla and prickly pear along the edges. Small wildflowers appear in the washes where water flows, and a few scattered camp rings can be found in the area.
