FS 205W

FS 205W is an out-and-back route winding through a richly forested landscape of Ponderosa Pines, Aspens, and young new-growth pines just beginning to establish themselves — a testament to the natural regeneration of the forest. The trail meanders through the trees at a relaxed pace before taking a right turn near the end and descending a steep hill, where the trail concludes. Throughout the route, fallen pines are present on and near the road, requiring attentive driving. Those stopping to park should take care to avoid positioning vehicles under dead or unstable trees. A scenic, immersive forest trail well-suited for high-clearance vehicles. The steep descent at the end should be approached with care.
