Trail Overview

This central section of Middle Road has been thoroughly cleared of overgrowth, with numerous branches removed to ensure it is now fully accessible for full-size vehicles. Functioning as a straight-line connector between the various segments of Middle Road--each of which may carry a different difficulty rating--this stretch primarily traverses sandy terrain, typically ranging from 2 to 3 inches deep. The route dips in and out of arroyos but remains generally manageable, and it concludes at a key junction offering three options: turn left toward Lomita Amarilla continue straight to reach the connector between Highway 1 and Puerto Chale, or turn right onto a wide, well-established road frequently used as an access route for off-road events and connecting directly back to Highway 1.
