Trail Overview

This commonly used race route starts from one of the trails off the Puerto Chale side and connects to the main road toward Punta Cancun. The western section has a mix of hardpack with a few inches of sand in spots where it's blown over, but nothing too soft. Once you head east, the trail opens up and gets fast--about four miles of smooth terrain with minimal whoops and just a touch of sand that keeps the ride feeling soft but manageable. In dry conditions, 4WD isn't necessary, making this a great quick-connect from one side to the other. The rest of the route, continuing east to the Puerto Chale Highway, also offers a scenic, mildly technical ride--just enough to keep it fun.
