Sanderson Academy Trail

This trail starts from the edge of the soccer field at the Sanderson Academy. It travels through a cattail marsh then travels through the woods. It crosses over Route 116 and continues northward, crossing over Bug Hill Road, it then takes a left. It rises the top of Peter Hill, the tallest point in Ashfield. It descends through a Hemlock forest down to the powerlines and crosses over to the other side. It crosses over Swamp Road and turns left. Here, the trail ties into the Fern Glade Trail and runs to the Beaver Brook Trail. It follows the tread of the Beaver Brook and Lookout Trail. It crosses over Hawley Road and follows the Apple Valley Overlook Trail. This trail ends at the picnic table beneath the White Pine. This trail ties into the Overlook Trail, if you would like to continue farther.
