This route begins at the trailhead kiosk near the barn off Chapin Street in Uxbridge. From the start, follow Dolbear Trail to the left as it winds through second-growth forest. Stay left onto the white-blazed Cormier–Meadow Brook Link Trail and continue east into the Meadow Brook Woods Conservation Area, managed by the town of Mendon. This stretch crosses Wigwam and Meadow Brooks, with boardwalks spanning boggy patches and wetland sections. At the junction with Inman Pond Loop, hikers can go either direction around the loop to pass a historic hunting cabin and reach Inman Pond, a quiet, wetland-fringed spot ideal for a break.
Return along the same route, watching for wet, rooty, or flooded spots—especially after rain. On the way back, stay left onto the southern segment of Dolbear Trail, passing a seasonal blueberry patch before arriving back at the trailhead. Hikers may also connect to the Meadow Brook Trailhead or explore other variations using nearby junctions. With its mix of forest, water features, and solitude, this is a mellow walk through classic southern Massachusetts terrain.
