Grand Trunk Trail - Westville Section

This smooth doubletrack trail starts downstream of Westville Dam and follows along the Quinebaug River. At 0.8 miles, the trail reaches the dam. A bridge on the left (over the river) provides access to the Heritage Trail. At around 1.7 miles, the trail reaches Westville Recreation Area and passes two picnic shelters and the parking area. Crossing the road, the trail continues along the river and reaches the Ed Calcutt Memorial Bridge at 3.5 miles. The trail currently ends 3.7 miles in at River Road, with proposed extensions continuing upstream to connect with the greater Sturbridge trail network.
