Loop
The Stewart Preserve Loop begins and ends at the designated parking area at the end of Stewart Lane. From the trailhead, follow the Orange Trail as it winds through gently rolling hardwood forest. The tread is easy to follow, with minimal elevation change and wide, well-maintained path segments. At a clearly signed junction, turn right onto the Blue Trail to continue the loop. This section passes low stone walls and pockets of seasonal wetlands before curving back toward the Orange Trail. Turn left at the next junction to return to the parking area.
This route offers a peaceful experience for hikers seeking a short outing on footpaths through quiet forest. Birdwatching can be rewarding, especially in the early morning. Conditions may be muddy in wet weather, and ticks are common in warmer months—bring appropriate gear and check yourself after hiking.
