The Moh‑He‑Con‑Nuck Nature Preserve route begins at the designated parking area just off Simmons Road, south of Bethlehem in Albany County. From the trailhead, follow the wide, gently rolling path through mixed forest and open understory. Early in the route, a short spur leads to the edge of a small pond, often alive with bird activity. Continue along the main path, keeping left at the Y-intersection to stay on the outer loop. The trail winds through wooded terrain and skirts marshy lowlands—prime habitat for songbirds and waterfowl—before bending back toward the parking area.
The entire route remains relatively flat and is suitable for a quick walk or relaxed nature outing. Wet or muddy conditions are common in the spring and after heavy rain, and ticks are prevalent in warmer months. Long pants and insect repellent are recommended. This is a peaceful trail for birding, photography, or a quiet walk in the woods close to home.
