Loop
The Sucker Brook Loop begins at the Blueberry Hill Inn Trailhead and winds through a quiet, shaded section of the Green Mountain National Forest. This moderate route climbs gradually through dense hardwood forest, passing several small brooks and the namesake Sucker Brook. From here, the trail rises gently along a fern-lined hillside and crosses several seasonal streams—especially active in spring or after rain.
Around the midpoint, the trail crests a wooded ridge where moose and deer sightings are occasionally reported. Continue through a series of gentle ups and downs before reconnecting with the initial junction and returning to the trailhead. This area is part of the larger Moosalamoo trail network and offers connections to additional routes if desired. Expect limited cell service, active ticks in warmer months, and muddy sections in spring. The mix of solitude, flowing water, and forest scenery makes this a peaceful option for day hikes in central Vermont.
