Trail Overview
FS 3394 navigates from its start point at Bucks Ranch Road and ends at its intersection with FS 2005. This trail is a very tight and overgrown two-track. There are small clearings located throughout the trail that can be used to pull off to allow for the passage of vehicles. The trail's base is a mix of hard-packed dirt and sand with medium to long grass growing up in the center of the trail. Surrounding the trail are small trees, with a varying amount of undergrowth foliage. Wildlife sightings along this trail can be common thanks to the lack of use the trail sees. The trail has gentle rolling terrain, as well as gentle winding corners across its entire length. There are several small low spots that will collect small amounts of water and turn to mud after rainfall. After this trail passes its intersection with Forest Road 2005, it becomes a short, there-and-back-style trail with a small turnaround located at the end that can be used for dispersed camping. There is enough room for two full-size vehicles. Cell service in this area is generally acceptable and is typically only slow in the peak summer months due to the increased traffic in the area.
Difficulty
This single-vehicle, wide two-track trail can be easily navigated by all vehicle types. Small clearings line the trail, along with pullouts that allow vehicles to pass. Sight lines on the trail are okay to good. This trail typically does not develop water spots or mud holes greater than 2 inches in depth. As the year progresses, the undergrowth along the trail will begin to creep into the trail, leading to the potential for pin stripping on larger vehicles.
