Trail Overview
FS 3304A is a short spur road that navigates from Forest Road 3391 to Presbyterian Road. This trail is an excellent way to make Trail 3391 a point-to-point-style trail. The trail is a very narrow dirt two track trial surrounded by dense and overgrown forest. There is a good amount of small elevation changes throughout the trail, as well as some very mild camber sections. The trail has several low spots that collect water and turn into shallow mud holes. Fallen branches and trees are common in this area due to the density of the forest. A small saw should be packed if traveling on this trail after a recent storm. This area is very scenic thanks to the topography of the surrounding landscape. Cell service in this area is very spotty and does not work for some carriers. It is best to always travel with downloaded maps. This area has a large snowmobile trail presence in the winter months. While there are some roads within the forest that do not have sled traffic, it is best to avoid them in the winter months, as navigation can be challenging or not allowed.
Difficulty
This trail can be easily navigated by any level of rider. The terrain is stable but can be moderately challenging to those with less experience. The trail is only wide enough for one vehicle, but there are sections of the trail that open up to allow for vehicles to pass. After a recent heavy rain, some of the hills on the trail can become rutted, exposing rocks beneath the trail surface. In addition, strong winds can push debris onto the trail from the surrounding woods.
