Trail Overview

FS 2262B travels from its start point at its intersection with FS 2294 to its end point at the intersection with FS 2262. This is a rugged two-track forest road, which is mostly unmaintained. The trail surface is mostly dirt with some short sections of sand mixed throughout. The trail has several low spots that will collect water and turn to mud. These typically remain under 12 inches in depth. Typically, after frequent traffic, some can become marginally deeper. This trail can be enjoyed from either direction, and the trail remains about the same difficulty no matter which way it is traveled. There are several short but steep hill climbs located across the trail, as well as many sharp corners, and a few mild off-camber sections. The surrounding scenery is a good mix of old growth as well as younger trees. There are also a few small clearings along the trail. Cell service in this area can be spotty, so it is always a safe bet to travel with downloaded maps. This trail is a groomed snowmobile trail in the winter months.

The trail is only wide enough for one vehicle throughout most of its length, which will require vehicles to pull over to allow for passing.
