Trail Overview
FS 2141 is a well-maintained large gravel forest road that runs from Knowles Creek Road to County Road C. This is a multi-use trail open to road-legal vehicles, as well as off-road vehicles like ATVs and SxS's. This trail is well maintained and has a firm gravel base. Sight lines around the trail are great thanks to the maintained ditch lines. This trail is wide enough for two vehicles across its entire length, and the well-maintained ditch lines mean there is extra room for oversized vehicles. It is not uncommon to see vehicles pulled over in these ditch lines. The scenery on this trail and around it is gentle rolling hills and moderate to dense mature forests, with a couple of sections being sparse thanks to recent forestry. This trail is very scenic in the peak fall months thanks to the rolling terrain and gentle sweeping corners. The south end of this trail also has a large sand pit that the local municipality uses to maintain the trail systems. Cell service in this area is generally acceptable, and downloaded maps are not needed unless traveling to the surrounding area, which is unknown.
Difficulty
This trail can be completed by all experience levels of riders. The trail is well-maintained by the local towns. Due to the loose gravel, certain parts of the trail can easily push vehicles around during times of extreme drought. In addition, this can also create a considerable amount of dust. The trail has great visibility throughout, as well as semi-maintained ditch lines that could be used to pull off.
