Trail Overview

The Trail 1 bypass connects the north and south sides of Trail 1. This trail is especially useful for the individual looking to further explore this trail network, or for someone who is looking to avoid the mud holes located at the west end of Trail 1. This is a relatively new, untraveled trail, so the surface and surrounding area are full of tall grass and weeds. The surrounding scenery on this trail is dominated by the overgrowth located on the trail edges, as well as maturing trees. This trail, like all others in this trail system, is a two-track trail and is only wide enough for roughly one SxS without vehicles having to slow down and pull over to allow for safe passage. There is a water spot at either end of the trail, but these are easy to avoid, as they are typically small and do not extend the full length of the trail. The difficulty of this trail remains the same when traveled in either direction. Cell service in this area is generally good but can be slowed in the summer months due to increased demand by tourists. If unfamiliar with the area, traveling with downloaded maps along your ride route is always a good idea.

Difficulty

This trail is one of the easier trails in this system since it is less traveled than others. The trail is very tight, as is the rest of the trail system, and speeds need to remain low to ensure everyone's safety. There are lots of blind corners with very few places that allow for a quick pull-off. For vehicles to safely pass, speeds will need to be slowed or stopped. Reversing to an open area may be required in some sections.
