Trail Overview

Van Zandt Mainline is a 6.5-mile out-and-back route open to street-legal vehicles. This single-lane gravel road travels through Washington DNR land, and a Discover Pass is required to recreate in the area. The route is generally easy to navigate, with only sparse potholes along the way. Several established dispersed campsites are located beside the road, while brush encroachment gradually narrows the roadway toward the end of the route.
